Southampton Classical Guitar Society ~ Next Concerts

This page gives details of forthcoming SCGS concerts and other events. As well as information about artists, programme details will be included once known.

Free mailing list: we operate free postal and email services. We can send you a flyer 3 weeks before a concert and/or an email 1 week in advance so you'll never miss a concert. We only use it for our own events and we never give/sell your details to anyone. If we haven't heard from you after 3 years we will check if you want to stay on. You can come off at any time.

Sat. 14th Nov, 8pm, The Point Eastleigh: Berta Rojas (from Paraquay)

Earlier notification of this event. We are delighted to have succeeded in persuading Berta to play for us this year. Full details in due course but please make a note in your diary now - you won't want to miss this one!

Berta has recently recorded Vincent Lindey-Clark's Five Pieces from Sark and Laura. Vincent is a member of the society so we are hoping some or all of these wonderful tunes will be included in her programme.

Likewise, it is almost certain there will be some Barrios included. I don't think I have heard anyone play his music better than Berta Rojas.
