Southampton Classical Guitar Society ~ Committee

SCGS is run by a voluntary committee who meet regularly to manage its affairs and plan events. Our constitution permits 3 to 6 committee members, each elected for 3 years at the AGM.

As a registered charity, we also have a number of trustees who fulfil the obligations of the Charity Commission on behalf of the whole society.

The names in orange below have a vote on the committee.

Obviously committee members are not the only ones who perform a role within the society. Others carry out tasks, large and small, under the general title of 'non-Executive Officer'. Without these people, running a successful society would be a much harder task and we indebted to them all.

We are very honoured that John Mills accepted the position of Honorary Life President of Southampton Classical Guitar Society in 2001. John has had a close association with our society for many years.

NB: In the email addresses listed below please remove the 'NOSPAM' bit. This to reduce 'Spambot' activity. Thanks.
Honorary Life President
John Mills
Elected February 2001. "One of Britain's finest guitarists", though in our opinion, for "Britain" read "the World"!
