Welcome to Southampton Classical Guitar Society

We are a group of enthusiastic amateurs and professionals who meet twice each month to share a common love of the beautiful sounds the classical guitar can produce.

We have only one entrance criterion: a love of classical guitar. New members of any standard and non-playing enthusiasts are equally welcome.

Click here for a joining form.

If you want to try us first, be our guest! Your first meeting is absolutely free. Newcomers always comment on how friendly their welcome was.

As a charity our aims are to provide a regional focal point for those interested in the classical guitar. We arrange celebrity concerts; organise workshops and perform in charity recitals.

Get in touch if you want more information (see contacts).

We enjoyed a Celebrity Concert by Milos Karadaglic (left) from Montenegro on Sat. 6th Feb. at The Point. Superb playing.

He is creating quite an impact in the classical guitar world and we are keen to see him on our stage.

Already we are looking forward to the next one on Sat 1st May by The Vida Guitar Quartet, followed by a workshop the next day.

See our concerts page for details.

If you want to help publicise the concert, here is a poster, which you can display in your porch or local shop etc.

Next meeting is Wednesday February 10th, 7:30pm onwards at our new home, the St Boniface Centre in Chandlers Ford.

See our meetings and diary page for more details of how to find us and what to expect when you get there, besides a warm welcome, of course!
